לְמִי שֶׁסּוֹפְסוֹף קוֹרֵא אָז גַּם יָבוֹא וְאָבוֹא מִיָּד
הַשֶּׁקֶט שֶׁל לֹא בָּא הוּא בָּא בְּאֵין בּוֹאוֹ
וְאֵין בּוֹאָם וְאֵין קוֹלָם בְּתוֹךְ אָזְנִי
מְחַלְחֵל בַּשַּׁבְּלוּל אֶל הַגָּרוֹן
וְעוֹמֶדֶת שָׁם בַּוֶּשֶׁט בַּת יַעַן
שֶׁמִּתְעַבֶּה צַוָּארָהּ

שׂוֹרֶטֶת מִבִּפְנִים אֲנִי שׁוֹמֵעַ שֶׁלֹּא יָבוֹא הַיּוֹם כְּמוֹ שֶׁאֲנִי פֹּה
פֹּה מַמָּשׁ עוֹמֵד עִם כָּל מָה שֶׁאֲנִי שַׁרְתִּי
נבְִלעָ.

To the reader that finally calls, then come swiftly I
come the silence will arrive or not without coming
and their no-show and no-sound in my ears
trickles from the cochlea down to the throat
where an ostrich stands and
her neck thickens
slowly as she descends

scratching from inside I hear that the day will not come as I am here
here truly standing with all my singing
